Helia’s proprietary HELBOT platform automatically stacks and transfers
even the most delicate laser diode bars
Helia’s HELBOT system was fully developed in-house to provide a high-yield solution for coatings on sub-500µm-width and/or fragile laser diode bars where standard handling processes are difficult. Its ultra-high accuracy SCARA arm uses a range of vacuum tips with constant vision and sensor feedback to pick up, stack/unstack, and place small cavity-length bars with sub-mN force. Handled bars or individual devices are ID-tracked and can be positioned with µm-level accuracy into carriers for shipping or for further processing at Helia.
Individual bars can be automatically detected, stacked in & unstacked from coating jigs, and transferred to waffletrays, gel-paks, or blue tape with 10µm placing accuracy and full ID traceability.
